01

Choose breathable foundations

Linen blends, cotton-rich fabrics and airy knits help heat escape. Check the fabric against light and touch: it should feel breathable without becoming transparent or fragile.

02

Use ease deliberately

Relaxed does not have to mean oversized. Look for space around the shoulder, waist and thigh while keeping the overall line intentional. Linen co-ords and polos work particularly well for polished summer dressing.

03

Let colour do less work

Ivory, sand, navy, soft blue and muted neutrals are easy to combine and feel calm in strong daylight. One richer accessory can add character without making the look visually heavy.

04

Dress for the full day

Choose pieces that can move from air-conditioned interiors to outdoor heat. A light layer, comfortable shoe and breathable base create more value than a single dramatic summer item.
